on True Project Success
 Presented by Tony LaPreste
Professor at Bryant University, President and Owner of CMS Consulting

Objective:  This discussion will offer individuals who manage projects on any scale an opportunity to learn about and discuss the relationships between project success and the numerous stakeholders of the project initiative.  The discussion stresses the need to understand and manage the human side of the project (stakeholders) to be effective in that leadership (project manager) role. This also applies to any type of task/initiative management challenge, especially important to those managing fast paced, rapid change project environments such as Agile approaches.

The role of change within a project context and its impact on people is stressed “Hands – on”, team based exercises are included with time allowed for discussion and learning points.

Topics:

  • Project purpose and change impact
  • The human side of the project management environment
  • Different behaviors and their individual impact on project success
