Volunteer With Us

Articles

Ready to give back?  Volunteers are essential to the success of PMI. It’s your participation that enables us to grow, serve and advance project management across the globe. And, volunteering is an excellent way to expand your network, earn PDUs for credential maintenance, and increase your skills and qualifications as a leader.

One PDU is awarded per 1 hour of volunteer service if you serve as an elected volunteer officer for a project management organization (including PMI chapters and communities of practice) or serve as a volunteer/appointed committee member for a project management organization (including PMI chapters and communities of practice).

The PDUs claimed in this category count against the maximum of 45 PDUs (or, 20 PDUs for PMI-RMP and PMI-SP) allowed for “Giving Back to the Profession” categories (Categories D, E, and F).

Volunteering with us is now easier than ever!  Create your volunteer profile and search for volunteer opportunities in the new Volunteer Relationship Management System (VRMS).

1.  Go to  PMI.org
2.  Select the "Get Involved" tab
3.  Select the orange button that says:  Go to the Volunteer Relationship Management System
4.  Log in using your PMI.org Username and Password
5.  Select View and Update Volunteer Profile
6.  Update your profile and upload your resume

You are ready to search and apply for volunteer opportunities!

Volunteerism is a hallmark of PMI® and the long-standing tradition of committed and dedicated volunteers has helped make PMI® the dynamic worldwide project management association that it is today.
